Marble Bubble Legend is a merge game with Suika gameplay and Zuma design elements. On a grass-covered Mesoamerican ball court that has stone sidewalls, the player uses a frog shooter similar to those found in Zuma bubble-popping games to create ever-larger marbles at the other end of the field. They also attempt to earn a high score and star currency.
The frog shooter holds a main marble projectile in its mouth and a secondary one visible on its back. The player receives a dashed aiming line they can use to target specific spots at the other end of the ball court. The bubble in the game's title refers to how the marble balls roll seemingly upward like floating bubbles because of the vertical screen layout.
The player can shoot the marbles anywhere on the court, but they can only merge two identical bubbles at a time. If they allow non-matching bubbles to pile together and the pieces reach the bottom of the screen, they lose and must start over.
Marble Bubble Legend offers several tools to protect the player against a loss. If the player is willing to view ads, they can use the lower-left button labeled AD to remove the biggest marble that prevents new merges. They can also use a lower-right shake button to shake the marbles into new merge positions and a rainbow swirl multiball button to immediately merge and evolve a targeted marble. They purchase access to the last two buttons with stars that they earn by visiting the game's store and viewing ad videos.
